Dear Parents,
Please read this entire e-mail so you don't miss anything!! :) Tomorrow for Field Day, please have your student wear the team's colored shirt and shorts and bring a change of clothes, a towel, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Friday will be a free dress day for everyone. Here are the colors:
Red team - Chaylen, Austin, Miguel, Corbin, Suhani, Kamilly
Blue team - Joseph, Gracie, Brooke, Cire, Owen, Ethan
Green team - Thaddeus, C.J., Joshua, Rahki, Stella, Benet
Also, next week we will have "themed" days:
On Monday, we'll have Bring Your Own Thinking game day - Monopoly, Bingo, Concentration, Clue, Trivial Pursuit, Battleship, etc. (No electronic games please)
On Tuesday, we'll be enjoying Magic School Bus movies and models day. If you have clay you could send in to help us create our models from the scientific concepts in the Magic School bus movies, we'd appreciate it!!
Wednesday will be our Beach Day outside with a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and one or two of your child's favorite books. While your child enjoys some time in the sun, we'll be serving lemonade, salty snacks, and popsicles. If you would like to send in some donations to make sure we have enough for every child, that would be wonderful.
Thursday will be the LAST DAY for backpacks. It will be our Cleanup/Classroom Awards Ceremony Day. We will be sending home workbooks, journals, and awards with the students.
Finally, Friday is our End-of-Third-Grade Celebration Day. From 8:00-10:00 we will enjoy G-rated movies, then have our Specials. If your child has a favorite G-rated movie, he/she may bring it in to share. From 10:00-11:00 outside activities will include sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, bubbles, and hoola hoops (again, donations are appreciated). 11:20-12:20 is our regular Lunch and Recess time. Ending our day from 12:20-2:00 will be Classroom Rotations with parent activities (25 minutes each) - we still need VOLUNTEERS so join us if you can!!
This has been an amazing year in 3rd grade! We are sad to see it end, but are so proud of all our students' growth. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Jenny M-G
